Academy Policy

Once a course has been assigned to a student's account and the student has logged in to the user dashboard and viewed any part of a class, that student is no longer eligible for a refund, under any circumstance.

Our platform uses an AI-based monitoring system that tracks student logins and class views. Once a class has been accessed, the enrolment is treated as active use of the course, and the refund window is considered closed.

Students who have not logged in or accessed any class content may reach out to support@labanoacademy.com to discuss their options.

Once a course has been assigned to a student's account via the user dashboard and the student has logged in to view any lesson, the student is no longer able to change or switch to a different course.

Course changes may only be considered before a student has logged in to access any lesson content on their dashboard.

To qualify for certification, a student must meet all of the following requirements:

Class attendance — a minimum of 70% attendance across all scheduled classes for the course.

Assessments — completion of a minimum of 60% of course assessments.

Final project — successful completion and presentation of the course's final project. No certificate will be issued to any student who has not completed and presented their project, regardless of attendance or assessment performance.

Certificates are issued 10 days after a student's final project presentation has been completed and reviewed.

Projects may only be completed within the timeframe assigned for each course's project window.

Any student who misses their project within the assigned timeframe is no longer eligible to complete a project for that cohort, and therefore forfeits eligibility for certification.

Students who miss their project window must register for the course again and make full payment before they can requalify for project participation and certification.

All course materials made available on the Labano Academy platform — including recordings, slides, documents, and other lesson content — are the property of Labano Academy.

Students are not permitted to download or record any course material in any form.

Course materials may only be accessed by logging in to the student's user dashboard.

Access to the user dashboard is granted to each student two days before their course begins.

Dashboard access is automatically revoked 30 days after a student's training has ended. This gives students a 30-day window after completing training to review lessons and course materials on their dashboard.

Once access has been revoked, students must register for the course again in order to regain access to training materials. This also allows us to open up dashboard access for new students.

Students are expected to remain respectful and civil across all Labano Academy community spaces, including class groups and community channels.

Any student found posting unnecessary or damaging messages about the academy — whether in a class group or any other community space — will be removed from the program.

Students are only permitted to join the class group for the specific course they are registered for.

Any student found participating in a class group for a course they are not registered for will be removed entirely from the program. Any payment already made will be forfeited and will not be refunded.

Tutors and staff are to be treated with respect at all times.

Any form of insult directed at a tutor, staff member, or the academy will result in the student being removed from the academic program and all Labano Academy platforms.
